Welcome
This site was developed in the Agios Nikolaos branch of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, as part of the Research Programme for the Development of Religious, Sports and Other forms of Alternative Tourism in the Prefecture of Lasithi, which was conducted on behalf of the Prefecture of Lasithi.
We have strived to make the material presented here as rich as possible and indicative of the great variety of the available sports infrastructure of this prefecture, and of the numerous athletic activities and events taking place here. The sports on offer are many and worthwhile, and we hope you find something that interests you! This site offers reliable information, whether you are simply interested in attending an event or finding information about the quantity and type of the facilities available for each sport to train, get lessons from qualified coaches and trainers, or join a tournament. This includes all the municipal, hotel and private sports facilities in the prefecture of Lasithi.
The material contained here has been structured so as to provide the greatest degree of user friendliness. The basic functionality offered is available via the main menu after you click on "Map". In the website which will appear, you will find information about hotels, athletic facilities and sports in the prefecture of Lasithi. For each of these there is geographical positioning (on the map at the top of the page) and information related to it in the space below the map. You can also find travel agencies that operate in the area and offer alternative forms of tourism, by clicking on "Travel Agencies".
